Planning For Easter
March has arrived and with it comes the challenge of preparing for Easter. This year Easter Sunday is on April 1st. No, this is not a joke. April Fools Day will actually be Easter Sunday. So on Easter Sunday don’t be a fool; come to Sunday School!
Actually Easter Sunday gives us our best opportunity of the year to reach new people as well as our own people who have not been attending worship. There is something built into us that pulls us toward church on Easter Sunday. For many of us it is the life long memory of getting up and getting dressed up to be in church with our parents. It was always special to go all out for Easter Sunday. Today, we do not put the attention on how one dresses. We simply want to encourage everyone to spend this special day worshiping the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Easter is the day that commemorates the Resurrection. Because Jesus died and rose again we can have the hope of a new life now and eternity in Heaven. Easter reveals the knowledge that we can be forgiven of our sins and enter a personal relationship with Jesus. It is the day for a new start and a new life.
Please set April 1st aside and worship the Lord. We would love for you to join us at Northside Baptist Church. We also ask that you pray for God to do a special work through our church on this special Sunday and bring someone with you.
